Tom and I wanted to reach out to all our Clements Cleaning clients (and potential clients) to let you know that we are continually monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. There is no higher priority than the health and safety of our customers, employees and community. As long as our staff is healthy, we plan on conducting business as usual to take care of our clients, taking all (and extra) precautions necessary. We will continue to wear disposable gloves while we clean your home or business and wash and sanitize our hands diligently.
The CDC states “The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.” It is spread through respiratory droplets that are produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. This can be spread when coming in contact, within about 6 feet, with an infected person. The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.
Although you still can contact this virus through touched surfaces, it is a much lower rate than coming into contact with someone face-to-face. It is important that these frequently touched surfaces are cleaned to minimize the spread through surface touch. The CDC states “No additional disinfection beyond routine cleaning is recommended at this time.” It is important to clean your home or business and these frequently touched surfaces. While in your home or business we will continue to provide you with your normal cleaning, paying even more attention & closer detail to these high touch points.
We have never had any issues with cross contamination of homes in the past, however we will be taking extra precautions with the coronavirus! We assure you that we will be changing out our mop heads between houses (which we wash daily) and disinfecting our vacuums, the best we can. We absolutely would never use the same cleaning cloths, nor disposable gloves from house to house! If you still are feeling uneasy about this subject just let us know ahead of time and we will gladly use your own personal tools.
If your household or business has been infected, please contact us. We do not want to come into your home if you have the coronavirus! We will have a different protocol for our business’s in which we service, as a place of employment is a different setting than a home. We will not send in an infected staff member to clean your home and we hope you would show us the same respect by not allowing us in your home if this virus, or any other for that matter, is present. If you or someone in your household is sick please contact us immediately, so we can do our part in helping to get this virus under control! If you or someone in your home has an underlying chronic medical condition or simple don’t want us in your home during this time, please let us know. There will be no penalties for pausing service.
If you are at home during your scheduled cleaning, we are asking all our clients to not be present during your scheduled cleaning. This goes for our business’s as well. We ask that you stay in an area of your home that we do not clean, as to avoid coming in contact with us. If this is not possible please let us know and we will pause your service. This is to keep everyone safe! We do not want to risk your health nor ours.
Our goal is not to cause panic, rather than inform you that we will be following all precautions and safely protocols to keep you safe. We do not want to spread the coronavirus to any of our staff and their families, as well as you and your families.
If our staff is infected or if we feel that our employee’s health is going to be compromised, then we will have no choice but to pause our services until we are cleared to move forward. We really hope that it does not come to this! We will be doing everything in our power to prevent that from happening.
